Wage: $30 per Hour

Position Summary:

Reporting to OCTE’s Manager of Growth & Innovation and OCTE’s Treasurer, the Project Assistant will work closely with the OCTE Project Management Team to provide administrative support for a large provincial teaching resource development program and a marketing and media campaign.   

This position will play a major role in the required project reporting, budget administration and tracking and administrative support for each project team as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Reporting: Work with the OCTE Manager of Growth and Innovation to collect data and complete regular program evaluation and financial reports for both project related and in-kind expenditures

  • Financial Management: Responsible for project cheque runs, budget tracking, invoice tracking and organization, and accountable bookkeeping weekly or as required by the project, with support from the OCTE Treasurer

  • Administrative Support: Meet regularly (virtually) with project managers and teams to provide administrative project support as required

Please note that project meetings will often occur outside regular business hours.

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated budget management and project reporting experienc

  • Excellent digital literacy skills and proficiency

  • High degree of initiative, independent work and collaboration skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational, time-management and strong interpersonal skills

  • Experience working within a school board or educational setting is an asset

 

This is a 9-month contract position anticipated to require approximately 5 hours per week (hours will fluctuate depending on project requirements) and will start in April 2023, with a possibility of contract extension.  Candidates should submit a resume and cover letter addressed to Christine German, Manager of Growth and Innovation, and emailed directly to: cgerman@octe.ca
